In 2006 I accepted the challenge to "Take a Train to Work" on the appointed day in November. I built a small over-and-under layout using foamcore, beadboard, and Kato Unitrack, scenicked with a Southwest flair. The layout was designed and built to wedge between the bookcases of my office cubicle directly over the computer monitor. Power is provided by an MRC Tech II power pack and an inexpensive under-counter fluorescent fixture stands in for the bright desert sun.
